These succulents are native to the semi-desert areas of Central America. They flower in the summer months by producing a stalk with brightly colored flowers at the end. The flowers are usually pink or orange. They flourish in bright and direct sunlight. They thrive outdoors in the summer but are not cold-hardy so be sure to bring them back indoors at the end of the season. They are indigenous to the semi-desert areas so they prefer low moisture.
